Microsoft have announced a new step in the Media Centre Extender push and have renamed it Extenders for Windows Media Center. What's so exciting about this...? Well, they've finally done what everyone has been asking (and praying) for many many year... Added DivX and Xvid support!!!

What else is new? The partners will be releasing in the near future a lienup of DVD players, TVs, and other electrical devices with the software built straight in, which means you don't need another box next to your TV... Nice... :)
